Forney Live is the brainchild of Performing Arts Director Christie Conaway who teaches music to young children and Music Committee member Christi Elkins who once worked in the music biz in Nashville. One night sharing their mutual enthusiasm for live music turned into many nights of music, laughter, tears and friendship as they brainstormed ways to bring a new experience to their hometown. The result has been amazing personal concerts from the likes of stellar songwriters such as Jeff Black, Alice Peacock, Dan Navarro, Kim Richey, Michael McDermott, Austin Cunningham, Wynn Varble, & Kevin Welch all hosted inside the Historic Spellman Home in Downtown Forney.
